What is ReviOS?

Introduction to ReviOS and Playbooks

ReviOS is a Playbook - a small file containing a set of system modifications. These changes are applied using the open-source AME Wizard, a powerful tool designed to customize Windows on either a running system or an offline Windows ISO.

ReviOS comes with its own tool called Revision Tool, which helps you manage your system with a familiar UI similar to the Windows Settings app.

System Requirements

ReviOS Playbook is compatible with the following Windows versions:

  • Windows 10: 21H2 (19044) and 22H2 (19045) — x64 only
  • Windows 11: 23H2 (22631), 24H2 (26100) and 25H2 (26200) — x64 and ARM64

This includes all editions, such as Home, Pro, Enterprise, LTSC.

About Playbook Versions

Playbooks are generally Windows version agnostic, meaning a single Playbook can be used on any supported Windows version (#).

This means:

  • You don't need to match a specific Playbook release to your Windows version
  • You can always use the latest Playbook for both ISO customization and live system application
  • You don't need to wait for a new Playbook when updating your Windows installation

As a rule of thumb:

💡 Always use the latest available Playbook release, no matter which supported Windows version you're working with.
